Roderick Smithson

Description

Roderick Smithson is Captain of the Corvine Guard and serves as Caelum Cadere's primary guard and companion in the capital. He is the more experienced of Caelum's two guards in courtly matters, giving stern looks to Evelyn when protocols are missed. He greeted Caelum upon return with relief, helped him bathe and change, and offered measured counsel about Lady Aurelia's intentions. He accompanied Caelum to Lady Aurelia's tower chamber but was instructed to wait outside with Evelyn when Caelum entered alone.
