v0.10

The Weave — your campaign as a living tapestry

v0.10 introduces the Weave: one zoomable chart of your whole campaign, where every character, faction, and place is a thread braiding in and out of the party's story. It replaces the arc timeline — and it ships alongside Spotlight, a new look at who holds the table.

Introducing the Weave

New · The Weave
  • Every storyline, one picture The Weave draws your campaign the way it actually happened: your party runs through the middle as a woven backbone, and everyone they meet becomes a thread that drifts in when they matter and falls away when they don't. Height means company — a thread hugging a player's line is with that character; inside the band, with the whole party.
  • Threads that remember A recurring villain is one thread, not five. When someone goes quiet for a few sessions their line fades to a dotted ghost, then returns exactly where they re-enter the story. Thickness shows how much a session belonged to them, and diamonds mark the secrets learned along the way.
  • Fly around it The whole chart lives on one screen — scroll or pinch to zoom into a tangle, drag to wander, and one-click views frame the overview, the latest sessions, or the full map. Names stay readable at every distance, and more of the cast labels itself as you zoom closer.
  • Arc lanes underneath Below the weave, each story arc gets a lane showing exactly when it ran hot and when it lay dormant, with a gold thread tracing where the party's focus traveled. Click an arc to tint its era and light up its cast in the weave above.
  • Make it yours, take it with you Filter which kinds of threads show — characters, factions, and places by default, items and lore when you want them — pin any NPC into the cast, and share the exact view with a link. When it says something worth keeping, export it as a PNG or SVG straight from the chart.
  • The arc timeline retires The Weave does everything the old arc timeline did and quite a bit more, so the timeline page has stepped down. Old links land on the Weave automatically.

Spotlight: who holds the table

Beta · Spotlight
  • Talk-time for every session Spotlight (beta) charts who did the talking — per session and across the whole campaign — with each player rooted to their character. See the quiet sessions, the spotlight-stealing ones, and how the table has shifted over time.
v0.9

The Documentary arrives, and a lot of polish

The v0.9 update debuts Quill's Documentary (beta) — a narrated recap film of your session — alongside simpler, cheaper per-session pricing and a wave of quality-of-life improvements.

Introducing the Documentary

Beta · Documentary
  • Your session, as a narrated film v0.9 debuts Quill's Documentary, now in beta — the first release of a whole new way to relive a session. Quill assembles a short narrated recap film of what happened, with a single narrator voice carrying the whole episode.
  • A storyboard you can walk through Click through the documentary beat by beat and it seeks to the exact moment, with stills that zoom and settle — and new cinematic transitions, a page burning away and a dive into dark ink, stitching the scenes together.
  • Built from your own art The documentary weaves in the portraits and images you upload as part of how each scene is generated, so the film looks like your table’s world rather than stock art.
  • Included in your session price Every documentary is part of the flat per-session price — not a separate charge, tier, or upsell.
  • In beta — more to come The Documentary is an early beta — it's where much of our attention goes next, so expect the look, pacing, and controls to keep improving release over release.

Fairer pricing

Pricing
  • One flat price per session We retired per-hour, per-page billing. Every session is now a single flat price — $2.50, or $2.25 in bundles — no matter how long the night ran. A five-hour marathon costs the same as a two-hour one.
  • Everything included, in every plan The knowledge graph, recap film, timeline, and the Claude connection are part of every tier from your first session. No feature is locked behind a higher plan.
  • Your first three sessions are free New accounts get three sessions on us — enough to run the whole pipeline and see your campaign come together before paying anything.

Quality-of-life improvements

Quality of life
  • Read your whole session A new Transcript tab lays the recording out like a book: line numbers, a speaker index down the side, and search that jumps straight to the moment. Scroll, and the chapter list follows along — and you can save any line as a quote in one click.
  • Smoother session review Reviewing what Quill found was rebuilt around a calm single-row header, inline search to match a name to one already in your graph, and autosave so nothing slips.
  • Fix a name everywhere at once Find & Replace sweeps a mis-heard or misspelled name across an entire session in a single pass.
  • Inspect a match before you make it When a session turns up something marked New that's actually already in your world, searching for the existing entity now lets you expand each result to see its full description, other names, and type — so you match the right one, even when two share a name.
  • Edit key moments in place A session's key moments are now editable right where you read them.
  • Batch portrait upload Drop in a folder of character art and Quill matches each image to a character by filename, then starts their artwork automatically — no more one at a time.
  • Wiki polish Cleaner portraits, tighter arc timelines, and entity hovercards that fade gracefully instead of trapping a scrollbar.
  • Better on mobile The session wizard and review flow got a full mobile-responsive pass, so you can chronicle from your phone.
  • A refreshed timeline The campaign timeline got a visual refresh — story arcs ink themselves in as the page loads, a marker shows where the tale stands now, and it reads and navigates more cleanly on every screen.

Edit your world from Claude

Claude
  • Write tools for your graph Connect Quill to Claude and it can now create and update entities, link or unlink relationships, merge duplicates, and run a bulk find-and-replace — each change previewed and waiting for your confirmation before it touches anything.
  • Cleaner reads Connection lists are deduplicated, and character journeys quote the transcript again.

Sharper by default

Accuracy
  • Transcription learns your world Transcription now pulls your campaign's own names — and their common mishearings — from your graph, so unusual names and in-jokes stop getting mangled.
  • Quill's voice, in one place Quill's narrative voice is gathered into the Session Overview instead of being scattered across tabs.
